Alkalinize for a Healthier Body

From RBC Life Sciences, JUNE 2007 Newsletter…

Diets of industrialized nations are very different than our preagricultural
ancestors. Early man consumed foods exclusively from a
menu of wild animals and potassium-rich alkaline foods (fruits, leafy
greens, vegetable fruits, roots and tubers).
The modern Western diet contains three conditions that cause acidity:
1. The use of high amounts of sodium chloride (table salt).1,2
2. Eating a diet high in energy-dense, nutrient-poor foods (separated
fats, oils, refined sugars and refined grains).1,2
3. The average diet is poor in fiber, magnesium and potassium.2
These dietary imbalances have caused a shift from alkaline diets in
past generations to higher acidity in modern day diets.1, 2 On average,
blood acidity is high in the population, while alkalinity is low, creating
a state of low grade metabolic acidosis.2,3 Many physiologic factors
surrounding mild chronic acidosis affect cardiovascular health,
insulin and hormone secretion rates, intracellular pH, bone loss, and
other degenerative conditions.1,2
The body goes to great lengths to restore itself to a proper acidbase
equilibrium. In the body’s attempt to neutralize acidity, calcium
is extracted from the bone. Also when excess sodium chloride is
excreted through the urine, proportionate amounts of calcium are
excreted along with it.2 Alkaline diets using mineral salts, potassium
carbonate, and potassium citrate were shown to reduce the excretion
of calcium in both men and women including postmenopausal
women, and to inhibit bone mineral loss.2,3
The kidney works diligently to maintain pH equilibrium for
survival. It does this by selectively reabsorbing and recycling deficient
minerals, alkaline salts, and calcium. The kidney must neutralize and
excrete large amounts of acid and ammonia to maintain proper pH
balance. Low grade acidosis results in bone loss, muscle wasting,
increased cortisol production, kidney stone formation, and damage
to the kidney.2,3
The use of dietary supplements that contain alkaline substances
such as calcium, potassium carbonate, potassium citrate, magnesium
and other mineral salts can support the body in achieving a healthier,
more alkaline state. This supports the skeletal structure because the
body will not need to use bone minerals to neutralize acidity. It also
relieves the acidic burden on the kidneys.3
RBC Offers Numerous Alkaline Dietary Supplements
Microhydrin®
A clinical study showed that subjects taking 4 Microhydrin daily for 3
weeks increased the pH values of saliva and urine to a healthier alkaline
state.5 This paper was presented at the American College of Nutrition.
The study showed the mineral balance restored to a healthier state.5
One capsule of Microhydrin in 8 oz of water has an alkaline pH of 9.5*.
Sango Coral Calcium
Sango Coral Calcium sachets supply calcium, magnesium and balanced
natural oceanic trace minerals creating an alkaline drinking water.
HydraCel™
8 drops of HydraCel with potassium citrate, and potassium carbonate added
to 8 oz of water, creates a mineral water with an alkaline pH of about 8.5*.
Add HydraCel to the Sango Coral Calcium solution to create a rich mineral
water with an alkaline pH 9.5*. Drink this water daily.
PureLife™ Water Filter
Municipal water treatment systems add acidic chlorine to kill bacteria.
The PureLife purifier removes chlorine from city water leaving it more
alkaline.
Green PhytoPower™
This is an exclusive blend of green vegetables, sprouts, kelp, spirulina,
broccoli, parsley, and carrots that can be mixed into juice, enhancing
nutritional value and fiber.
Green vegetables and Spirulina products are naturally rich in alkaline nutrients.
MagiCal®
MagiCal provides alkaline minerals, calcium and magnesium for bone health.

“Over the past 12 years or so I have been studying the effects of over-acidity and how it may relate to
degenerative disease. RBC paves the way in nutritional science once again by adding the Sango Coral
Calcium from Okinawa, Japan, to their already phenomenal arsenal of life-changing NanoCeuticals.”
